TEXTURES AND COLORS
Novum Wall blocks are formed by pouring architectural-grade concrete into forms and curing over time. This wet casting process results in deep, realistic grooves and textures, allowing it to be crafted in three natural-looking faces: Alpine, Ridge, and Summit. Various colors are available regionally. Check with your local Novum Wall producer for specific texture and color availability.
Alpine – Rugged, weathered face reminiscent of European mountainscapes. The detail of Alpine’s stacked fieldstone look is an excellent fit for smaller-scale projects like residential walls.
Summit – A symmetrical arrangement creating a sense of order and balance, evoking the grand architectural traditions of bygone eras. Summit’s elegant, larger format texture makes it a wise choice for more involved installations like those in commercial spaces.

Novum Wall
- Can be built up to 6 ft (1.8 m) tall without reinforcement. With reinforcement and the right site conditions, Novum mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls can be built to 21 ft (6.4 m) or more.
- Machine set with a small crew and easily mobilized subcompact equipment like skid-steers and mini-excavators to install more wall with fewer resources.
- Wet cast concrete composition reduces the blocks’ porosity and enhances its strength and durability. The wet cast forming method also allows for significantly more detailed textures.
Dry Cast SRW
- Can typically be built to only 4 ft (1.2 m) tall without reinforcement.
- Hand set, demanding larger crews and significantly more labor to install an equivalent face area.
- Dry cast’s increased porosity allows for moisture and chemicals to more easily enter the block, which can lead to its more rapid degradation.
